About Artifex Routing Co
Software you can still count on in ten years: still getting updates, still with a human behind it.
That is the whole idea, and this page is the evidence for it.
Something changed in the WordPress plugin world. Plugins people built and cared about got bought up, and the new owners raised the prices, thinned out the support, and let the roadmaps stall. If you have been building WordPress sites for a while, you have watched it happen to a plugin you relied on.
Artifex Routing Co is a bet in the other direction. A small number of plugins, each doing one job completely, maintained on a schedule, with support answered by the person who wrote the code.
Sixteen years of shipping WordPress code.
Some of it is on this site. Much of it is not: plugins built under contract for other companies, running on a great many sites, with my name nowhere in the readme. Either way it is the same work, done the same way, for sixteen years without a break.

The thread through all of it: take data from somewhere else, bring it into WordPress, and make it something a person can actually use. That is what every plugin here does.
Coupon Creator has been on WordPress since 2012 and has had the same maintainer the whole time. Fourteen years of updates, WordPress release after WordPress release, with a person on the other end of support.
Anyone can promise they will still be here in ten years. This is what it looks like when it is already true.
Not just when something breaks.
License holders get a reply within 48 business hours.
No surprise annual hike, no feature held hostage.
Each plugin does its job and stays out of the way.
Do the work completely, back it with amazing support so people can rely on it, and never abandon it.
Why the plugins do not look like a set
Five plugins that do not have much to do with each other. A restaurant menu tool and a volunteer signup sheet do not share customers, and they never will. What they share is how they are built and how they are looked after.
Each one solves one real problem for one kind of person. That is deliberate. A plugin that tries to be five things is usually bad at all five.
I am Brian Jessee. I have been building WordPress sites and plugins for sixteen years, and I have been maintaining Coupon Creator since 2012.
I build these plugins, I write the docs, and I answer the support tickets. When you write in, you are writing to me.
