No, deactivating Coupon Creator does not delete your coupons or your settings.
Your coupons are stored as a WordPress custom post type, the same way posts and pages are stored, so they stay safely in your database when the plugin is turned off. Your plugin options are saved as a WordPress option and also remain untouched.
This means you can safely deactivate and reactivate the plugin, or update it, without losing anything. When you reactivate, all of your coupons and settings are right where you left them.
The one thing to know is that while the plugin is deactivated, any [coupon] shortcodes on your site will not render, since the code that displays them is not running. Reactivate the plugin and they display again.
Deleting a plugin is separate from deactivating it. In the current 3.6 release, deleting the Core or Pro plugin files does not remove your coupon posts, categories, or saved Coupon Creator settings, so reinstalling the same product family restores access to them.
Deleting Coupon Creator Add-ons removes its email-delivery log table and scheduled log-cleanup task. Coupon posts and their saved Add-ons fields remain because they belong to the shared Coupon Creator post records. Back up your database before deleting plugins if you may need historical email logs or are unsure which data your site relies on.
