Every coupon either runs until you unpublish it or expires on a date you set — expired coupons stop rendering on the front end automatically.
The Expiration tab #
- Expiration Option — choose Ignore Expiration (the coupon never expires) or Expiration Date.
- Expiration Date — with the date option, pick the last valid day. The coupon keeps showing through that entire day and disappears the day after.
Date Format controls how the date prints on the coupon: month-first (MM/DD/YYYY) or day-first (DD/MM/YYYY).
The editor's status banner always tells you where a coupon stands — "This Coupon is Showing." with its expiration, or a notice that it has expired.
Notes #
- The expiration line renders on the coupon and its print view automatically; don't repeat the date in the Terms text.
- An expired coupon stays published in the admin — it simply stops displaying. Update the date to bring it back.
- If a coupon vanished unexpectedly, check its expiration first — see My coupon stopped displaying.
Coupon Creator Pro adds three more options — recurring expiration, expires-in-X-days, and date ranges — plus a print counter that can limit total redemptions.
