Pro's Border & Background tab adds outer border themes, corner radius controls, and background color or image — for text coupons and image coupons alike.
One exception worth knowing before you start: outer border themes do not apply to the Modern Ticket. The ticket draws its own notched card, so it ignores the border theme and the outer border color. Everything else on this tab — background color, background image — still works. If you want a bordered coupon, set the Coupon Type to Classic, Image, or one of the Add-ons advanced templates. The coupons shown throughout this guide are Classic for that reason.
The Border & Background tab with Pro #
- Outer Border Theme — the dashed cut-out is one of five: Coupon (dashed), Stitched, Dotted, Saw Tooth, or None, plus an outer border color.
- Color pickers cover the inner border, outer border, and background; corner radius fields round the outer and inner edges.

A background image can sit behind the coupon text — a lighter-weight alternative to a full image coupon when you still want live text and expiration on top. Set the image, position, repeat, and size in the same tab.
Image coupons with Pro #
Image coupons (Coupon Type → Image) work as in the free plugin, with two Pro additions:
- The outer border theme applies around your graphic.
- The expiration date can render on top of the image — see Showing the expiration on image coupons.
