With Pro active, Coupons → Options grows on nearly every tab. This guide walks all of them; defaults apply to new coupons only — existing coupons keep their own saved values.
Defaults #
Everything a new coupon starts with:
- Template — the default coupon type.
- Expiration — default method (all five Pro modes available), date format, plus defaults for the recurring pattern, recurrence limit, and X-days period.
- Expiration Status — what happens when a coupon expires: stay published (just hidden) or flip to Draft automatically.
- Outer Border — default border theme, color, and radius; Inner Border color and radius.
- Default Template colors — deal background/text and the Pro Terms text color.
- Coupon Background — default background color or image (with position, repeat, size).
Link Attributes / Permalinks #
- Link attributes: nofollow on print-view links, nofollow/noindex on the print template, and a global Disable Print View kill-switch.
- URL bases for the coupon print template and (Pro) the coupon category archive.
- Pro additions: hide the under-coupon print-view link site-wide, open print views in a popup by default, and a Google Analytics (GA4
G-…) ID injected on the print template for tracking print visits.
After changing any slug here, re-save WordPress permalinks (Settings → Permalinks) — see Troubleshooting 404 Errors.
Display #
- Free basics: custom coupon CSS, the wpautop toggle, base print CSS toggle, and whether coupons appear in site search.
- Display Names (Pro) — rewrite every built-in label: "Expires on", "Valid … thru …", "Click to Open in Print View", "Click to Print". Perfect for translations or brand voice without code.
- Print View Style Options (Pro) — font family and weight for the print view's body and headings.
Templating #
Loop and sizing defaults: the main coupon-loop page, default template/per-page/order/columns for [couponloop], responsive breakpoints (filter bar and column collapse), and the shortcode/print dimensions for text and image coupons.
Help, System Info & Reset #
Help links guides and video walkthroughs from inside the admin.
System Info is a copyable environment summary (WordPress, PHP, plugin versions, key option values) — paste it into support requests.
Reset restores option defaults. Coupons, categories, and licenses are untouched.
Licenses & Add-Ons #
The Licenses tab holds the Manage License controls — covered in Installing & Activating Pro. An Add-Ons tab appears here when Coupon Creator Add-ons is active, with per-feature toggles.
