When someone asks "who took that last spot?" or "why does this shift say it's full when only five people are on the list?", Manifyst has two answers. The Activity Log records what happened to events, slots, and signups. Stock History records every change to capacity itself.
Activity Log #
Go to Manifyst → Activity Log. It is visible to administrators.

- Filter by Type (event, slot, or signup) and Action (created, cancelled, promoted, deleted).
- Each entry records When it happened, the Object it happened to, the Action, the Actor who did it, and the Details — event and slot IDs, the resulting status.
The Actor column reads Guest for signups made by visitors who weren't logged in, which is the normal case for a public signup sheet, and the user's name when an administrator or coordinator did it.
Use it for the timeline: when a signup arrived, when it was cancelled, when a waitlisted person was promoted into the free spot.
Stock History #
Stock History is the ledger behind capacity. Every slot has an account, and every spot taken or released is a transaction against it, so the numbers on the front end can always be traced back to the events that produced them.
Reach it from Manifyst → Stock History, from View History on any slot in the Slots tab, or from Stock History on any item in the Items tab.
Stock History is available to administrators, Event Managers, and Event Organizers who
own at least one event. Administrators and Event Managers can review the whole site's
ledger; Event Organizers see only capacity history belonging to their own events.

- Search accounts filters the list. Administrators and Event Managers also get Run integrity check, which re-verifies balances across the full ledger; that site-wide action is hidden from scoped Event Organizers.
- The Accounts panel lists each slot and its waitlist as separate accounts, each with Capacity, Available, Pending, and Confirmed. Selecting one opens its history.
- Export CSV downloads the journal for offline review. An Event Organizer's export contains only their permitted event history.
The Flow view reads as a story: an opening transaction moves the slot's capacity into Available, then each signup moves one unit from Available to Confirmed, with a link to the signup that caused it. Cancellations move it back. Table shows the same transactions as rows if you'd rather scan them.
Which one to use #
| Question | Where to look |
|---|---|
| Who signed up, and when? | Activity Log |
| Why is this slot showing as full? | Stock History |
| Who was promoted off the waitlist? | Either — the log names them, the ledger shows the spot moving |
| What happened to the item quantities? | Stock History, from the item's Stock History link |
| I need the raw numbers in a spreadsheet | Stock History → Export CSV |
For the human-readable roster rather than the audit trail, use Export CSV on the Signups tab instead.
