Start at Manifyst → Settings → Email and click Send Test Email. That tells you in one step whether the problem is Manifyst or your site's mail delivery.
If the test email arrives but confirmations don't, check the settings above it: Send Confirmation Emails must be on, and the individual template must show as Enabled in the Email Templates list. Also check the recipient's spam folder — a confirmation triggered by a form submission is exactly the shape of mail that gets filtered.
If the test email doesn't arrive either, the problem is site-wide, and Manifyst can't fix it on its own. Work down the Deliverability Status panel:
- From Email should be an address on your own domain. A Gmail or Yahoo address in the From field fails modern authentication checks at the receiving end and is one of the fastest ways into spam.
- SPF Record should show a record that authorizes your server. If it says none is found, add one at your DNS host.
- Server IP should read "Not blacklisted".
- If the panel says no SMTP plugin was detected, install one. Routing WordPress mail through a real mail service (rather than the web server's own
mail()) fixes the majority of delivery problems.
Test the result at a spam-score service such as mail-tester.com, which the panel links to.
If reminders specifically are the problem, see Reminder emails aren't sending — that has a different cause.
