Manifyst installs like any other premium WordPress plugin. You need the plugin ZIP file, a site running WordPress 6.0 or newer, and PHP 8.2 or newer.
Before you install #
Check the site's versions under Tools → Site Health → Info:
- WordPress: 6.0 or newer
- PHP: 8.2 or newer
If PHP needs to be updated, ask your host to do that before installing Manifyst. Updating PHP can affect every plugin and theme on the site, so take a backup first.
Download the current Manifyst ZIP from your account at artifexrouting.com. Keep it as a ZIP; WordPress uploads and extracts it for you.
Upload and activate Manifyst #
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Choose the Manifyst ZIP file and click Install Now.
- When installation finishes, click Activate Plugin.
Activation adds Manifyst to the WordPress menu and creates the database tables used for events and signups. It also creates a draft Manage Signups page for the optional front-end coordinator console. Nothing is published automatically.
If WordPress reports that Manifyst requires a newer WordPress or PHP version, update that requirement before trying again. Do not edit the plugin files to bypass the check.
Finish the first-time setup #
Open Manifyst → Dashboard and follow Get ready for your first signup. The checklist walks through activating your license, testing email delivery, creating an event, adding a slot or item, previewing the attendee page, and completing a test signup.
License activation provides automatic updates; it does not unlock or disable Manifyst's event features. See Where do I add my Manifyst license key?.
