Manifyst ships fully translatable and includes Portuguese (Brazil), French, and Spanish
translations alongside English. Set your site language under Settings → General and every
plugin-provided label — buttons, availability counts, emails, the admin — follows it. (The
included translations are machine-drafted and reviewed lightly; corrections are welcome
through support.)
Your own content is a different story. Event titles, descriptions, slot names, and item
names live in Manifyst's own database tables, not in WordPress posts. That has one practical
consequence for translation plugins:
- WPML and Polylang cannot see Manifyst content, because they translate posts and
strings registered with them. Plugin labels still translate; your event content shows in
whatever language you wrote it. - TranslatePress and similar visual translators work well, because they translate the
rendered page in the browser regardless of where the text came from. This is the approach
we recommend for fully translated event pages.
For a bilingual sheet without any translation plugin, a pragmatic pattern is to write both
languages into the content itself — "Setup Crew / Equipo de montaje" — since slot titles,
descriptions, and item names are all free text.
