Send enough detail to reproduce the problem without sending passwords, license keys, or attendee data. The exact screen, action, and error message are usually more useful than a general description such as “Manifyst isn't working.”
Include:
- your Manifyst version from Plugins → Installed Plugins,
- your WordPress and PHP versions from Tools → Site Health → Info,
- whether you were signed in as an Administrator, Event Manager, Event Organizer, or attendee,
- the event title and its status, plus the event URL when the problem is on a public page,
- the steps you took, what you expected, and what happened instead,
- the complete error message, copied exactly,
- and a screenshot showing the whole Manifyst screen, including any notice.
For an email problem, also include the result of Manifyst → Settings → Email → Send Test Email, whether an SMTP plugin is active, and what the Deliverability Status panel reports. For a reminder problem, say whether DISABLE_WP_CRON is enabled and whether other scheduled WordPress tasks run.
For an event-page 404, include the event status and visibility, the URL copied from Manifyst, and the site's permalink setting. For a capacity discrepancy, include the event and slot names and what Stock History shows; do not send the attendee roster unless support specifically asks for a redacted copy.
Never send:
- a WordPress administrator password,
- hosting, database, FTP, or SSH credentials,
- your Manifyst license key,
- email-provider API keys,
- or an unredacted signup export containing personal information.
If temporary site access becomes necessary, create a separate account with the least access required and remove it when the investigation is finished.
