Where do I put the Manifyst shortcodes?

1 min read

Any page or post. In the block editor you usually don't need a shortcode at all — add the Manifyst Event block (pick the event from a searchable list and see the live sheet) or the Manifyst Events List block. The shortcodes below render the same thing anywhere blocks don't reach: a Shortcode block, the classic editor, a widget, or a page-builder text module.

Shortcode Put it on What it does
[manifyst_event id="12"] A signup page One event with its slots, items, and signup form
[manifyst_events limit="10"] A landing page A list of upcoming events, each linking to its own page
[manifyst_my_signups] A members page The logged-in user's own signups (logged-out visitors see a login prompt)
[manifyst_manage] The Manager Page The front-end management console; Manifyst creates a draft page for it on activation

You often don't need a shortcode at all: every active event already has its own page. Go to Manifyst → Events and click Copy link on the row to grab that URL.

To find an event's ID and shortcode, open the event and choose the Shortcode tab. You can also address an event by slug, which survives a site migration better than an ID: [manifyst_event slug="fall-festival-volunteers"].
