Deactivating Steuard keeps its settings, saved credentials, caches, and manual menus; it only stops Steuard's scheduled menu and review refresh jobs. Deleting the plugin through WordPress removes Steuard's settings and caches — but keeps your hand-built menus and menu tags unless you opted in to full deletion first.
To remove menu content too, check Delete all menus, menu tags, settings, and caches when the plugin is deleted under Steuard → Advanced before deleting the plugin. The setting is off by default so an accidental delete can never destroy hand-entered menus.
Pages and posts that contain Steuard blocks or shortcodes are not deleted. While the plugin is inactive or deleted, those placements cannot render their menus or reviews.
Before deleting Steuard with full deletion enabled, back up the site if you may need its connection settings or hand-built menus again. Deactivation is reversible; uninstall cleanup is not.
