- New: redesigned reviews display — a rating lockup, a two-column review wall that collapses on phones, an optional per-connection section heading, and a "Write a review" link that sends customers straight to Google (both settings on the Review post's Display tab; the block and
[steuard_reviews]shortcode can override them per placement). - New: the site-wide Accent color now also styles the review links and button fallback through
--steuard-review-accent. - New: Pub layout with a warm, text-first two-column design, a half-width single-section treatment, and a one-column mobile layout. It honors Steuard's existing display, price, typography, and color controls.
- New: Trattoria layout (centered single-column fine-dining style), a Boxed tab style for Combined menus, a Hide currency symbol option, and an optional heading font stack for layouts with a display face.
- New: an optional front-end cache bar (Menu Options → Advanced) lets permitted staff clear the menu cache from the page itself; a role checklist chooses who sees it and visitors never receive its markup.
- New: Menu Tag emoji and Font Awesome fields are searchable dropdowns, and the Toast Channel Filter shows live per-channel item counts.
- New: every Menu post is permanently Toast, Manual, Composed, or Combined. Toast selects one upstream menu; Combined arranges several Menu posts as a stack or tabs.
- Changed: Toast, Manual, and Composed Menu posts own Layout, Display, Overrides, and Design settings so every placement stays consistent.
- Changed: the block, Classic editor, and
[steuard_menu id="123"]shortcode each select one published Menu post. Use a Combined Menu post for multi-menu displays. - Changed: Menu Options keeps connections and global defaults, while its duplicate Available Menus and Shortcode Reference sections have been removed.
- Changed: each Google review connection is now a Review post under Steuard → Reviews, with Connection, Display, Moderation, and copy-ready Shortcode boxes.
- New: a public menu-name override keeps website headings and Menu schema independent from the upstream Toast name.
- Fix: Menu schema now includes only descriptions, prices, calories, and tags that the matching HTML menu displays.
- New: multi-location sites can select the Restaurant ID used by menu and review schema with the
steuard_schema_restaurant_idfilter. - Upgrade: existing Manual and Composed content is retained and migrated to the versioned Menu-post schema. Connected Toast page placements from 2.6 are converted to Menu posts automatically and keep their display settings and overrides. Older Manual or Composed page placements must be selected again.
