A namespace is a label that groups embeddings into a collection and scopes a chat to just that collection. A chat only searches embeddings that share its namespace, so namespaces are how one site runs multiple assistants over different content without cross-talk.
Manage them under Wyregraf → Namespaces (they work like categories: create a term, assign it to embeddings and to the chat). Everything starts in the built-in Default namespace, so if you run a single chat over all your content you never need to touch them.
Use separate namespaces when you have, for example:
- a Docs chat that must answer only from documentation, and
- a Products chat that answers only from product pages, or
- a members-only chat over internal content that the public chat must never retrieve from.
Assign the namespace on the embedding when creating it and on the chat's Main tab when creating the chat.
